|
Responsibilities:
Defines project scope and objectives. Develops detailed work plans, schedules, project estimates, resource plans, and regular status reports. Conducts project meetings and is responsible for project tracking and analysis. Ensures adherence to quality standards and reviews project deliverables. Manages execution of the project plan, controls the project budget, ensures the effective use of project resources, and coordinates change control activities.
Skills/Knowledge Required:
4-6 years of technical work experience in increasingly responsible positions, such as programmer analyst, systems analyst, etc., in a PC/LAN and/or distributed platform environment.
Experience with client/server or n-tier systems implementation projects. Knowledge of IT best-practices, ITIL, ITSM.
5-10 years of successful project management and implementation experience on projects requiring at least 10 additional technical personnel. Knowledge of project management tools, such as Microsoft Project, is required.
Experience in managing projects of moderate complexity; performing risk assessment quantification, response planning and control; communicating risks and developing and executing mitigation strategies; developing and analyzing efficient cost-effective solutions to support business processes and functional requirements.
Direct experience in a health/dental care or insurance industry applications environment with an understanding of claims processing and cost containment requirements is highly desirable.
In-depth knowledge of system development lifecycle principles and system development methodology as demonstrated by successfully managing numerous projects through the entire project development lifecycle, including project release and post support.
Able to communicate effectively with all levels in a clear and professional manner, verbally and written. Possess superior people management and leadership skills.
Able to lead others through all phases of systems implementation. Should be familiar with various project models suitable for infrastructure and information technology implementation, operations and administration.
Demonstrated experience in identifying and influencing the acceptance of technical solutions for client business problems. Must be willing to accept and influence a fast pace of organizational change.
Able to empower and motivate others in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
Must be able to demonstrate ability in risk planning for technical projects.
